Healthy macho

Back in 2018 at my internship at a company called StichtingGezondheid I had to make a game for them, this game is called Healthy Macho, it is not available here, but it can be requested. This game I created, was made in GM8.1 (This version is used for Windows) then ported to GMS and finally to GMS 2, to be exported as a HTML game hosted on a server.

This was quite some job, but it went really well and the final version supported touch controls and is playable on any device that has a webrowser!

It can be played in the following ways: Arrow keys, Controller, touch screen.

The game is inspired by pacman, but plays a bit different. The player needs to collect all healthy food and avoid the unhealthy food, if unhealthy food it touched the player will temporary become slightly fat and slow and when eating enough healthy food, the player will become normal again. A golden apple can be eaten for superpowers that allow you to eat unhealthy food!

The unhealthy food in the game is depicted by scary but funny monsters, the sounds were made by in audacity and every food eaten will play a different sound, this was achieved by modulating the frequency and certain frequency spectrums from the initially created sound.

The concept artwork was made by an artist at my internship and is available by request.

Sprint X game

In almost one year ago, I made a game for school when school allowed you to create a 'Passion Project', this event was called 'Sprint X' and you have three weeks to create a project of your interest for a stakeholder. For this I created a topdown scrolling shooter, which features 5 levels, each with bosses and a survival level that spawns infinite enemies. A special feature of this game, is that it some levels are played vertically and others horizontally with all objects adjusting to the playing direction. There are two unlockable planes, this was released for Windows and a HTML webrowser version exists. It is controlled with AWSD, shift space, escape(required in menu) and the mouse can also be used.

For gameplay, see the video below. (Note that there were some issues with the video recording causing issues with the graphics in the video, they could not be fixed)
