Favorite games: Same as DS.
This small upgrade made the device slightly thinner but wider and removed the GBA cartridge reader, and adds two camera's, one on the center on the hinge and another on the outside on the same side as the audio out but on the top. It has a better screen and matte finish. For it adds 4MB more RAM so some games run better on it.
The device's L and R buttons don't seem to break as fast as the normal DS lite which is very good. It comes with an SD card slot (although I never used it) and features a better and more expandable OS than the normal DS. Voice recording can be done and making and editing photo's is also possible. It got a store with DSi software, but it was closed quite quickly which resulted in the games moving in the E-Shop for the Nintendo 3DS (which has also recently been closed), unique things about the games bought in the store is, that even on the 3DS, some games have animated icons! A great app for the DSi was the Flipnote app, you could create (GIF) animations with it and many people made beautiful creations in there, it somehow reminds me of basic flash animations on Newgrounds. The app has also been released on Nintendo 3DS.
The handheld feels better in comfort for playing games than the original DS lite, it's only slightly noticeable, but the lack of a GameBoy Advance Player makes me recommend this device only if you want a better screen, and mainly play DS games.
